Saho Owasso Animal Hospital

This was about little over a month ago. But our sweet girl Sabrina had to be taken for an emergency visit, they found out her kidney disease before our old vet could. Unfortunately her condition was very rapid. Her last visit everyone had hope for her until we got a dreadful call once night shift arrived. They allowed us to sit with her for as long as we needed to, they were beyond sympathetic and so hospitable with our little girl when we had to put her down. They handled everything for us when they switched systems and made sure the cremation service wouldn’t burden us with more money. I will never forget my experience with this hospital. After a little over three weeks when we came to pick up her urn, they kept her cat carrier for us the entire time. My heart goes out to all of the nurses and doctors AND the front desk staff who treated my baby like their own. I will never take those memories for granted. They never rushed us to make a decision to euthanize, and they explained every single cost to us. I wanted to write this review because they had given my baby a loving goodbye, even when they carried her out, I just knew that the nurse who took her from us was going through our grief with us. These people have hearts of gold. Despite their busy days, they go out of their ways for our babies. Thank you to everyone who took care of my baby and loved her through her final moments. You all are the reason us owners can find hope and peace that there’s someone out there who cares for our babies like they’re your own. I urge everyone who comes to this hospital to treat the staff with kindness and patience, they aren’t just workers—they’re our babies safety.

Great service just very expensive.

Friendly counter staff, vet tech and vets.

Brought my cat in because he got into a toxic substance, brought him to licensed veterinarians, who then turned around and just gave me a phone number to call for a poison hotline for an additional $100. When I pushed back on simply receiving a phone number for an emergency in-person, they told me they’re not toxicologists and pretty much can’t help him. So why was I not told this at the beginning of my time walking in? Instead I was checked in and left to sit for 40 minutes before being told to call this number that left me on hold for another 20 minutes. In situations like this, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. I’m still sitting in a waiting room on hold while my cat is probably poisoned. The veterinarian and technician spoke to me like I was a child when I said I didn’t think licensed vets were supposed to just give me a piece of paper with a phone number on it. How do you go to school for 4-8 years to not be able to help an animal that’s ingested something toxic? How do you need a third party company to tell you what is toxic and what isn’t for an additional $100? Overall, I don’t feel cared for and I don’t feel like I brought my animal to the right place. I’m hoping everything will be okay but there’s no reassurance and no communication. I wasn’t even told his weight and what they did to relay to the person on the phone. Never coming back.

SAHO took amazing care of my cat, Goro, this past weekend. I learned SO much about what was going on with her. The staff has been incredibly kind and helpful, especially to someone whose pets are his world. I had never had to hospitalize a pet before, so at first I was nervous about it. But the staff ran me through the exceptional care Goro would receive and they were right. I was able to speak with a vet or assistant whenever I needed to, including them being available by phone or text. Thank you to each and EVERY person at SAHO who I've seen this past weekend. I appreciate all of you!
