Dr Terry Wood Dvm

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I took my Aussie in today to get his paw looked at because he has been anxiously licking it. (He has the worst anxiety.) After giving him steroids and basically dusting his hands of us we were trying to leave when my dog peed I apologized because that isn’t right and he should’ve known better but dr. Wood cut me off and was quick to say “you have to get out.” And basically pushed my dog and I to the front desk. I was trying to pay when he tried to take my dog from me and put him outside!! I kept a hold of the leash and he called the receptionist over to hold my dog still. (The receptionist was lovely and brought some treats to try and ease my boys anxiety instead of shoving him out of the building.) I have never felt so anxious and unwelcome in a clinic before. It’s sad that this is my dog's first and only vet and he was treated this way. If your dog isn’t perfect and has any flaws find someone who actually cares!!!!!!

I made an appointment for my dog, who was in pain with a bleeding dewclaw. Due to heavy traffic and emergency vehicles congesting the road right in front of the clinic, I arrived 7 minutes late and took a few minutes to let my dogs potty before entering, per their own clinic rules making me 10 minutes late overall. Despite arriving well within my allotted appointment time and the lobby being basically empty, the front desk staff member flatly denied us service and rudely told me I would just have to reschedule. There was zero empathy for an animal in active distress, nor any offer for a quick tech check or minor fit-in. Life happens, and turning away a suffering animal over a 10 minute delay caused by emergency traffic is completely heartless and unacceptable. Dr. Woods himself is nice, but this terrible experience with his staff member has completely burned our trust. My family and I will be taking all of our dogs elsewhere.

Excellent! Dr. Wood is kind and thorough and really cares about his patients...we are new to this practice after being referred here by a friend, and now highly recommend!
