Got my cats and dog taken care of for much less than my more local options!
Excellent vet with a great staff. Most reasonable prices in the area. Has taken exceptional care of our animals for many years.
Edit 10/20/25: DO NOT GO HERE ANYMORE. Dr Rector had been wonderful but he definitely needs to retire. We took our pets in a couple of times and received bad care from him. (The vet techs were and still are some of the most amazing people) 1. Lexi our Belgian Malinois for chewing through her re-enforced crate. I was concerned because I had found blood on the floor along with saliva into the fact that she chewed through metal. When I took her to Dr. Rector for him to look at her in for them to trim her nails, they took care of her nails and Dr. Rector barely looked at her teeth before seeing that she’s perfectly fine and doing great. Then I took our oldest corgi to the vet because she was shaking, avoiding being held, crying out, not going to the bathroom, etc which is completely abnormal for her. We have doggy steps to go onto the bed if she goes onto the bed, but normally she sleeps next to me on an air mattress or hammock(long story:husband snores). There was one incident where she slid down into our empty pool, but after that, she still seems fine. So we took her to the vet and I had said that she might be constipated because she hasn’t pooped and she kinda looks like she’s trying and so they said that they would take a look at her and then you flush her out I paid the after hours emergency vet fee in cash Which was about $250. dr. Rector met me in the clinic. He gave her some mineral oil and a shot of something and then put her in their kennels and they said they were gonna keep her overnight for two nights for observation. That makes sense because they didn’t want her to poop in my car which was wonderful of them. When I came to pick her up, she was shaking even more. She was covered in oil. She was looking absolutely scared and was not herself. I kept being told that she is fine. She’s excited to see me and they took care of her and she’s doing great. She was not her normal self. Something was very wrong with her so I took her to a different vet. When we arrived at the new vet, stopped shaking, and calm down enough so she could eat a little bit and drink some water. She is very food driven, and when I had brought her to the doctor Rector, she had no interest in food when we dropped her off and when we picked her up, which was very scary for us That vet immediately give her x-rays and found out that she had something going on with her back/spine area. They immediately gave her medicine and gave me medicine to take home to give her and she was back to normal within a day. So that was the last incident where it made us decide 100% to get a new vet. Please do not take your pets there, if you do make sure you ask questions and write everything down, ask what they are giving your animals and try to get a printed form of what they’re giving them. We live an hour away from Woodland Animal Hospital but they are 100% worth the drive there and back. They’re even worth having your cat pee in your dang car because you can’t find the cat carrier and now your car won’t stop stinking of cat pee…..😂😂. The staff are the best staff I’ve experienced at a vet in my entire life. They can get you in the day you call typically; their emergency after hours fee is really reasonable; and their prices are just impossible to beat. I was informed that they have grooming and boarding, which I definitely want to take advantage of. My pets can be a bit wiggly and get upset, but the staff handles them wonderfully and my assistance is not needed at all (breaks my heart to watch and not be able to help sometimes, but they’re so much better than I am). They saved my chicken who got scalped by an animal one night and they gave me the knowledge about caring for her. It was well needed because she got attacked again (she’s more of a pet chicken who loves cuddles) and she survived ….barely.
